Colorblind?

I'm a sucker for classic colors. My closet is 60% black, 20% white, 20% miscellaneous. I need some color in there!

So it came as no surprise to me that I would pair a cream cardigan from Anthro with monochromatic accessories.

Sometimes you just stick to the basics, I guess!

All in the same color family.

I really try to stay away from being super matchy-matchy but this one might have done me in!

Do you tend to stay in the same color family when accessorizing?

Or do you like punches of color?

  1. I love that necklace but I know what you mean about being too neutral. I just ordered a pair of patent cobalt TB sandals (a lot less tacky than they sound) that I hope will inspire me to liven things up! I also just signed up for a spring blog swap so maybe I'll get a colorful accessory or two from my partner (:

  2. Wow the necklace is gorgeous- LOVE IT (my voice is going up in pitch as I say that)

I think when you stick to the basics and just add a pop of color here or there it is a wonderful way to get the most out of your wardrobe. Now all you need is to add COLOR that makes you happy.

  4. I love your vintage coach bag! And that necklace is so pretty. I try to mix it up, but I always go back to my favorites when it comes to clothing, accessories, colors, etc. I'm partial to black, blue, and white, but trying to add more color to my closet. Sometimes I need to go back to the basics though.

  5. I'm just going to out myself - before last year I wore so much black and grey. It lines my closet in spades. Then I found Tucker and it took me back to high school where I was a color FIEND. I'm slowly incorporating more color and giving myself a swat whenever I go back to strictly black too many days in a row.

I love this combo though - neutrals can be soft and calming - and this definitely is. Cute bag!

  6. I have the absolute opposite problem--too many patterns and colors! I have a hard time sometimes getting dressed (especially for work) because I have so many bright colors and patterns and not enough neutral basics. I think colorful scarves are one of the easiest ways to "color" up a look! ;)

  7. y'know, I don't seem to accessorize very much lately. Long necklaces usually are my thing but we have to wear lanyards around our necks at work so that kind of puts a damper on things. I really like the colors you are representing in the photos, I love the neutral beiges and soft pinks. So pretty
