New Obsession: Alex & Ani Bangles

Seriously. I am in love.

I have a hard time with bangles because I swear I have hands the size of a giant. Not okay.

Enter in a lazy day shopping at Nordstrom and finding an Alex & Ani bangle in the Savvy area of the store. I love these.

I bought the H and now I want the E and a Virgo charm and any and every other one they offer.

Have you tried these bangles?!

Seriously, in love.

Mountain Air

Hello from beautiful Colorado. I'm taking a mini vacation and spending 5 days relaxing in the mile high air. My friend and I are laying low and then heading up to the mountains for a wedding on Saturday.

I won't know a soul but my roommate, J, so it should be interesting. Thank god for open bars at weddings, right?

My postings will be light until I get back so I hope everyone is having a great week!

I haven't taken any good shots on my phone (I'm posting from my phone for the first time. Hope this works!!) So here's all I've got...a weird car in a CO parking lot haha

Lovely Day

Well I'm 27 today! I don't feel much different from yesterday...

In true birthday fashion I am only working a half day today then treating myself to a manicure and PSL (pumpkin spice latte. I hate to brag but Chicago did get them a week early...)

Case in point....met J for a PSL on Tuesday when they made their debut in Chicago!

I'll be going out to dinner with my parents tonight and friend J. Then my parents are coming over to give me my gifts. Yay!! I may be 27 but I still like having my presents on my actual birthday. When I was growing up we would wake up and they would all be next to our bed wrapped up and begging to be opened!

Pre-birthday celebrations included devouring a Crumbs Mint Patty cupcake!

My weekend plans include our family fantasy football draft, sushi dinner and major shopping!

Hope everyone has a happy and relaxing Labor Day weekend!

Incredibly Easy Homemade Dip

Behold the power of the magic bullet!!

I'm a huge fan of dips in general but find that they're always made with super fatty ingredients.

I wanted to make a quick dip that I could eat with veggies and pretzels and not feel like a tank after said consumption.

Enter the homemade bean dip. So good & easy it's not funny!

You'll need:
1 can pinto beans -- (15 ounce) drained
4 bottled jalapeno slices (nacho slices)
1 tablespoon juice from bottled jalapeno slices
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Gracefullly put everything in your magic bullet or food processor, blend, enjoy!

It really is that simple.
