Never been to Austin, but have been to Houston a few times. I love the tex-mex food out there. Have a great time Erin and Happy New Year to you!

Austin is SO wonderful! As a true Texan, its one of my favorite cities! 4th street has tons of wonderfullly chic and cool bars/wine spots (I prefer them over the crazy drunken 6th street bars) and so much yummy Mexican food and Texas BBQ. There are several great outdoor places (it should be warm enough to enjoy with a light coat) and lots of great live music. PS: If ya'll want to do a girls spa day, there are lots of great spas as well. I'm going overnight this Thursday for an interview and to see a friend, so I'll think of more recommendations for you then. You're going to love it!

ReplyDeleteAustin is such an awesome city! I don't have specific recommendations, but I don't think you need 'em that much, because everything about the place is super-fun and funky.
