So I turned the big 2-6 today! And for the first time in years, I'm not as excited as I usually am. This, in my opinion, doesn't have to do with my age (come on, 26 is not old!!) but rather I don't need or want a big party. In fact, tonight I'm going to out for sushi with 9 of my favorite friends. Family celebration is this weekend :)
I've never been one who loves huge parties. I go to them, sure, but for my own birthday/graduation/you name it, I like to keep it smaller. I'm sure I'll be the person who has less than 100 people at my wedding and I'm fine with that!
Granted, I had some bashes back in the day (one of my favorite being my 5th birthday because I LOVED my strawberry dress and Twinkles the clown....which would now creep me out)
I took a trip down memory lane and found these old birthday pictures. They had me cracking up and I'm so happy I found them. Click on 'em to make them larger and be prepared for a blast to the (my) past!
I'm puzzled at why I had a 90210 cake at my 8th birthday considering I was WAY too young to watch the show. Probably just wanted to be cool like my cousin, Eileen whose birthday is 9/9 and she was watching 90210 when I was that age....Now I'm off to Starbucks for a Pumpkin Spice Latte and a manicure. I'd like to thank my sweet dog, Ozzie for two cute sparkly flower hair ties from Anthropologie. He's so thoughtful and has great taste! haha I don't know about your family but in ours we give gifts to our Dog on Xmas, his bday, etc and in return he buys for us. Weird? Maybe. But I find it awesome.
thanks mom!So to all my fellow Virgos out there, Happy Birthday Month!! Celebrate and enjoy it!
